Terms of service

The agreement between PathoSense and your organisation.

Last updated: 28 June 2026

These terms govern your organisation's use of the PathoSense platform. By creating an account you confirm that you are authorised to bind your organisation to these terms.

1. Service

PathoSense provides infection prevention, outbreak detection, antimicrobial stewardship, microbiology liaison and regulator-ready audit packs for UK care providers.

2. Acceptable use

  • Use the platform only for lawful, clinical purposes for your own care service.
  • Do not upload personal data of residents beyond the pseudonyms required by the workflow.
  • Protect your credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Subscriptions and pilots

Pilot accounts are free for the period stated at signup. Paid subscriptions renew monthly per home until cancelled with 30 days' notice.

4. Data

Your organisation is and remains the controller of clinical data. PathoSense processes that data only on your documented instructions per our DPA.

5. Availability

We target 99.5% monthly availability outside scheduled maintenance. Status is published on request.

6. Liability

PathoSense is a clinical workflow tool and does not replace professional judgement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the prior 12 months.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
